The Framer: 6.24” Builder’s San Mai Prep Knife

$1,400.00

Before Jeff Royer was a bladesmith he was a framer cutting lumber and building houses day after day. This knife comes straight out of that past. The blade uses a 15N20 san mai core for the cutting edge with reclaimed circular sawblade damascus sandwiching the core taken from the 10” blades Jeff used on job sites years ago. It’s honest steel with history behind it.

At 6.24 inches this western-style prep knife is quick in the hand and sharp at the edge. The grind is clean the pattern is bold and the full tapered tang keeps the weight down so the balance sits right where you want it. It feels fast and ready to work.

The handle brings the eye popping color. Dyed and stabilized wood in a deep blue that catches the light paired with two sterling silver pins that keep everything tight and true. It feels good, looks good and gets the job done.

Built from the tools that built Jeff. Made to work.
